SEMINOLES HAMMER CC SELECT IN FIRST GAME OF CABA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

In the first game of the CABA World Series Qualifier at Valparaiso University, the Hammond Seminoles (13-13-1) defeated CC Selects (Fort Wayne) 11-3 in 5 innings. Larry Crisler (Bishop Noll) was the winning pitcher going 4 innings with 4 strikeouts while allowing 3 runs (2 earned). Crisler also went 3-3 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored. Other offensive contributors included Rob Long (Andrean, 2 RBI), Brandon Garcia (Griffith, 2 hits), Matt Dvorscak (Whiting, 2 walks and 2 stolen bases), Jaylen Yarbrough (Bishop Noll, double) and Frank Podkul (Andrean, double).
