The Hammond Seminoles (14-13-1) improved to 2-0 in pool play with a 11-2 victory over the Cincinnati Flash. Jonathan Azar (Munster, 3-2) threw all 7 innings allowing 2 earned while striking out 6 and giving up 4 hits. Offensively, Alex Vode (Andrean) was 2-2 with 2 runs, Jimmy Skiff (Andrean) was 2-2, Joey Bryant (Munster) had a 2-run double, Frank Podkul (Andrean) had 2 RBI, Larry Crisler (Bishop Noll) stole 2 bases, Corey Rusboldt (Chesterton) scored twice, and Austin Vander Zanden (Chesterton) reached base 3 times.
