CHIEFS FALL TO TOP TIER TO OPEN OHIO VALLEY

The Chiefs lost their opening game at the Ohio Valley Classic hosted by the Midland Redskins in Cincinnati to Top Tier by a score of 3-2. The Chiefs jumped ahead 2-0 in the top of the 4th. Tariq Suboh singled in Micha Rooke with the first run of the inning and Jake Evanich doubled in Suboh with the second run of the inning. Evanich was 2 for 3 in the game with a single, double and 1 RBI.? Top Tier scored the winning run in the bottom of the 7th with one out on a sacrifice fly to end the game. Branden Valentine pitched 5 2/3 strong innings and did not get a decision after Top Tier tied the game in the bottom of the 6th.?
