Chiefs Shock Cross Plains in Ohio Valley
The Chiefs?trailed Cross Plains until 6th inning at Ohio Valley.?In The top of the 6th Frank Pluskota (Lake Central) drilled a fast?ball well over the left field wall to give Hammond a 3-2 lead.? In the bottom of the 6th, Cross Plains put the 1st two hitters on.? During a mound conference, Matt Doolin (Andrean) called for the shocker.? The Chiefs ran the play to perfection and without a pitch, picked off the runner at 2nd base.?The next batter grounded into a double play to end the rally?and preserve the win.
