Chiefs Introduce Fall Exposure Team
The Hammond Chiefs are starting a fall underclass exposure team for all high school players of Lake and Porter Counties. The team is open to high school players who will be juniors or younger as of this fall school year. A pro style tryout will be conducted on Saturday, August 21st at 5:00 p.m. at Riverside Park in Hammond. Players will then participate in 2 games beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 22. The team will then be selected after these games. Players selected for this team will participate in college exposure tournament on weekends at college sites beginning September 4-5 at Valparaiso University. Players selected for this team will also play in the Perfect Game World Wood Bat Underclass tournament in Ft. Myers, Florida October 8-11.
