Chiefs beat Indy Irish in Pastime Opener

The Chiefs jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning against the Indy Irish and never looked back. Mike Brosseau (Andrean) started the offensive output with a single, followed by Kody Alayon (Bishop Noll) who reached on an error and then Cody Dykema (Lake Central) drove in a run with a single and Zack Goldasich (Andrean) then doubled driving in two more runs for the Chiefs. Finally the Chiefs scored their final two runs in the 6th inning on an RBI double by Alayon and an RBI single by Goldasich. Mike Hanchar pitched a complete game shutout for the Chiefs. Hanchar tossed a six hitter in his first victory of the summer season. Hanchar had six strikeouts and two walks. The Chiefs return to action tomorrow at 12:30 (CT) against the Ohio Panthers in their second game of the Indianapolis Pastime Tournament.
