The Hammond Chiefs and Whiting’s Oil City Stadium have released the 2011 Region Basebrawl Classic Schedule. The Tournament is a joint venture between the Hammond Chiefs and Whiting’s new Oil City Stadium. The tournament begins with Pool Play at the two host sites, Riverside Park (Hammond), and Whiting’s beautiful new, Oil City Stadium in Whiting, Indiana. The Schedule released includes a local flavor of teams from Northwest Indiana. The teams include the Highland Royals, the Duneland Flyers, Hammond Mohawks, and the Hammond Chiefs in the American League Bracket. The National League bracket includes the S.E. Suburban All-Stars, NWI Patriots, Crown Point Post 20, and the E.C. Cardinals. Pool Play begins on July 8th and the Championship round will conclude on July 10th at Oil City Stadium. The Championship round begins at 1:00 pm on Sunday, July 10th and concludes at 7:00 pm under the lights at Oil City Stadium.
