Seminoles Defeat Munster Hitmen 18U

The Hammond Seminoles (3-0) remained unbeaten after traveling to Munster for their first road game of the summer. Larry Crisler (Bishop Noll, 1-0) was the winning pitcher with 1 1/3 innings of relief. Matt Dvorscak (Whiting) was the starter and struck out 6 in just 3 2/3 innings. Austin Vander Zanden (Chesterton) pitched the last 2 frames. Offensively, the Seminoles were led by Corey Rusboldt (Chesterton, 3 hits and 3 runs scored), Jaylen Yarbrough (Bishop Noll, 2 hits, 2 RBI), and Brandon Garcia (Griffith, 2 hits). Crilly (Munster ’12 grad) hit an inside-the-park home run for the Hitmen.
