Chiefs to Play in WWBA Underclass World Championships in Fort Myers

The Indian Chiefs of Hammond will travel to Fort Myers Florida this week to take part in the WWBA Underclass World Championships.  The Northwest Indiana underclass team will kick off pool play on Thursday night at 8:00 pm at Terry Park, the former home of the Minnesota Twins spring training.  Game #2 is on Friday at 4:00 pm at Florida Gulf Coast University.  The Chiefs will end pool play at 1:30 pm at Jet Blue Stadium, the home of the Boston Red Sox Spring Training.  The game will take place on a field that is a replica of Fenway Park.

This will be the third season for the season for the Chiefs to take part in the WWBA Underclass World Championships.  The inaugral season, the Chiefs defeated the defending Underclass Championship Orlando Scorpions 10-2 to capture their pool and move on to Championship Day.  In year two, the Chiefs finished in 2nd place in their pool with a 3-1 record
