Indiana Chiefs Make it to the Final Four Before Being Ousted in Indianapolis
GAME #1
ndiana Pony Express didn’t have a chance on Thursday, as Indiana Chiefs 14U won in blowout fashion, 11-0 in five innings at Indianapolis, IN.
Indiana Chiefs 14U scored four runs in the fifth on an RBI single by Mike Popp, a two-run single by Chris Manyek, and an error.
Will Kulcher got on base two times in the game for Indiana Chiefs 14U. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He tripled in the fourth inning.

Evan Hylek did all he could to give Indiana Chiefs 14U a boost, but it wasn’t enough to get past Ohio Force, as Indiana Chiefs 14U lost 7-2 in seven innings at Indianapolis, IN on Thursday.
Hylek reached base three times in the game for Indiana Chiefs 14U. He singled in the first and second innings.
Ohio Force couldn’t get anything going so long as Justin Ruthrauff was on the hill. Ohio Force managed just one hit off of Ruthrauff, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his 4 1/3 innings of work.
Pennington got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over three innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Ohio Force stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring two runs on an RBI single by Davis.
Ohio Force added four more runs in the top of the third. Kates kicked things off with a single, scoring Glynn.
GAME #3
A seven-run explosion in the sixth inning hoisted Indiana Chiefs 14U to a 13-1 win in six innings over Indiana Nitro at Indianapolis, IN on Friday.
Justin Ruthrauff racked up three RBIs on two hits for Indiana Chiefs 14U. He doubled in the second and sixth innings.
Alex Dobrzeniecki brought the heat against Indiana Nitro during his outing. Dobrzeniecki gave up just three hits, allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out three during his six innings of work.
The game was never in doubt after the first, as Indiana Chiefs 14U scored two runs on an RBI double by Mike Madura and an RBI single by Will Kulcher.
After posting one run in the second, Indiana Chiefs 14U again scored one in the fourth. In the second, Indiana Chiefs 14U scored on an RBI double by Ruthrauff, scoring Dobrzeniecki.
Indiana Chiefs 14U built upon its lead with two runs in the fifth. A clutch wild pitch scored Ruthrauff to open the scoring in the frame.
GAME #4
Indiana Chiefs 14U shut the door early on Revolution, capturing a 21-1 victory on Saturday at Indianapolis, IN.
With 21 runs in the first three innings, Indiana Chiefs 14U left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
A sacrifice fly by Mike Madura, an RBI single by Will Kulcher, an RBI single by Ben Ostrowski, an RBI single by Alex Dobrzeniecki, an RBI triple by Mike Popp, and an RBI double by Chris Manyek in the first inning and a sacrifice fly by Nick Bandura, an RBI single by Kulcher, an RBI single by Ostrowski, a two-run single by Popp, and an RBI single by Chris Manyek during the second inning supplied the early offense for Indiana Chiefs 14U.
Pat Manyek boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 4-4 day at the plate to pace Indiana Chiefs 14U. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the first, second, and third innings.
Popp got the win for Indiana Chiefs 14U. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered three hits.
Indiana Chiefs 14U pounded Revolution pitching, as seven hitters combined for 17 hits, 16 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
GAME #5
Things looked bleak for Indiana Chiefs 14U when it trailed by four runs in the eighth inning, but Indiana Chiefs 14U recovered thanks to a key double in the eighth inning from Mike Madura to pull out a 6-5 win in eight innings over the Magic City Orioles at Indianapolis, IN on Sunday.
With Indiana Chiefs 14U trailing by two in the eighth inning, Madura came to the plate and doubled, plating Alex Dobrzeniecki, Joey O’Keefe and Evan Hylek.
Madura racked up three RBIs on one hit for Indiana Chiefs 14U.
Indiana Chiefs 14U was led by O’Keefe’s hitting. O’Keefe went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Despite four hits, Indiana Chiefs 14U lost 10-0 to Ohio Force on Sunday.
Chris Manyek paced Indiana Chiefs 14U at the plate. Chris Manyek went 1-1. He singled in the third inning.
Kates got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He pitched four shutout innings. Kates struck out four, walked two and gave up four hits.
Ohio Force went up for good in the first, scoring six runs on an error, a sacrifice fly by Glynn, two singles, and a wild pitch.
