17U Chiefs Drop Home Game to 18U Triple Crown Elite
The 17U Indiana Chiefs (10-3) dropped their second consecutive game after losing to Triple Crown Elite 9-4 Tuesday evening. Kyle Buikema (Griffith) walked three times, Bailey Schultz (Beecher) was 1 for 2 with a walk, and Brandon Garcia (Griffith) scored twice. Frank Podkul (0-0, Andrean) and Cullan Carey (2-1, 1 save; Andrean) combined for 3 2/3 shutout innings of relief with 3 strikeouts and 0 walks.
