Chiefs 14U Goes 1-3 in Notre Dame 15U Tournament

GAME #1

Justin Ruthrauff did all he could to give Indiana Chiefs 14U a boost, but it wasn’t enough to get past the Illinois Bulldogs 15U, as Indiana Chiefs 14U lost 5-1 in seven innings at Valparaiso University on Thursday.

Justin got on base two times in the game for Indiana Chiefs 14U. He singled in the third inning.

Caleb Putman got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He tossed four innings of shutout ball. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered two hits.

The game was never in doubt after the first, as the Illinois Bulldogs 15U scored one run on an error.

The Illinois Bulldogs 15U added four more runs in the bottom of the fourth. Caleb kicked things off with a single, scoring Garrett Shea.

Indiana Chiefs 14U scored its only run of the game on a walk by Mike Madura in the sixth inning.

GAME #2

Alex Dobrzeniecki allowed just one run on Friday at Jimtown High School, but Indiana Chiefs 14U couldn’t get the offense going in a 2-1 defeat to the Cincinnati Panthers 15U.

Heckmuller got the win for the Cincinnati Panthers 15U. He tossed two innings of shutout ball. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered two hits.

Neither team scored until the fourth when the Cincinnati Panthers 15U got on the board. The Cincinnati Panthers 15U scored on a groundout byBender.

The seventh inning saw Indiana Chiefs 14U score its only run on the day on an RBI single by Alex.

The Cincinnati Panthers 15U went up for good in the eighth, scoring one run on an error.

GAME #3

Indiana Chiefs 14U lost the ballgame after losing the lead in the sixth inning Friday, as Naperville Renegades National 15U grabbed a 8-7 victory in seven innings at Jimtown High School.

Kevin got the win for Naperville Renegades National 15U despite allowing seven runs over seven innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Indiana Chiefs 14U broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning, pushing across fourth. Indiana Chiefs 14U scored on a two-run single by Mike Popp.

Naperville Renegades National 15U answered Indiana Chiefs 14U’s top inning with four runs of its own in the fourth. Naperville Renegades National 15U scored on , an RBI single by Conner, a single by Kurt Simpson, and an RBI double by Austin Singer.

Naperville Renegades National 15U scored two runs in the fifth inning, and then followed it up with two more in the sixth. In the fifth, Naperville Renegades National 15U scored on a passed ball, scoring Michael.

GAME #4

Pat Manyek drove in the go-ahead run to give Indiana Chiefs 14U the lead in the sixth inning, as Indiana Chiefs 14U hung on to beat Fort Wayne Baseball Factory 15U 9-4 on Saturday.

With the score tied at four in the sixth inning, Pat came to the plate and singled, scoring Nick Bandura.

Joey O’Keefe racked up two RBIs on two hits for Indiana Chiefs 14U. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Mike Popp recorded the win for Indiana Chiefs 14U. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

The top of the first saw Fort Wayne Baseball Factory 15U take an early lead, 1-0.
