The bats were busy at Riverside on Sunday, and when the dust cleared Indiana Chiefs had an 11-9 win over Indiana Chiefs 17U in seven innings.

There were 25 hits, including seven extra base hits in the game.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the seventh, with seven lead changes.

Indiana Chiefs took the lead in the seventh inning and held on for the victory. Indiana Chiefs scored on a two-run single by Seth Tucker off Issac Shook, bringing home Chris Manyek and Mike Madura. A two-run single by Seth scored Chris and Mike to give Indiana Chiefs the lead for good.

Indiana Chiefs was led by a flawless day at the dish by Pat Manyek, who went 2-2 against Indiana Chiefs 17U’s pitching. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Drew Minnich recorded the win for Indiana Chiefs even though he allowed five runs over 4 1/3 innings. Drew struck out two, walked one and gave up four hits.

The lead was Indiana Chiefs’ to lose after seventh inning. More runs came home on a sacrifice fly by Nick Bandura.

Indiana Chiefs 15U – 3 vs. Hammond Hurricanes Black 18u – 2

Anthony Kurek had two extra base hits, sparking Indiana Chiefs to a 3-2 victory in seven innings over Hammond Hurricanes on Sunday.

He doubled in the first and sixth innings.

Steven Washilewski worked out of eight tricky spots for Indiana Chiefs. He pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run on five hits. Steven faced his toughest situation in the seventh inning.

Hammond Hurricanes jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second.

Indiana Chiefs 15u – 12 vs. Calumet City Renegades 17u – 11

The teams combined for 25 hits, including six extra base hits.

Nick Bandura pushed Indiana Chiefs ahead, in the eighth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. Pat Manyek reached on an error to get on base in the eighth. He then went from first to third on a single by Chris Manyek.

Nick paced Indiana Chiefs at the plate. Nick went 2-4 and scored one run.

Justin Ruthrauff recorded the win for Indiana Chiefs. He tossed one inning of shutout ball. Justin Ruthrauff struck out one, walked one and gave up no hits.

Nick, Ryan Missal, Jason Lamont and Justin Ruthrauff helped lead Indiana Chiefs. They combined for eight hits and three RBIs.

The top of the second saw Indiana Chiefs take an early lead, 4-0. The scoreboard lit up again for Indiana Chiefs when scored on a single byVincent Miranda, Missal scored on a sacrifice fly by Pat, and Miranda scored on a steal of home.

Indiana Chiefs 15u – 5 vs. Lansing Redbirds 17u – 2

Indiana Chiefs and Lansing Redbirds 17U exchanged the lead five times on Saturday, but Indiana Chiefs ended up on top with a 5-2 win in seven innings over Lansing Redbirds 17U.

Pat Manyek went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for Indiana Chiefs. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Justin Ruthrauff got the win in relief for Indiana Chiefs. Justin Ruthrauff pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed no runs.

The top of the first saw Lansing Redbirds 17U take an early lead, 1-0. The Lansing Redbirds 17U attack began with a single from Vankalker. A stolen base then moved Vankalker from second to third. Alexander singled, plating Vankalker.

Indiana Chiefs quickly matched Lansing Redbirds 17U’s strong inning with a one-run inning of its own in the first. Indiana Chiefs scored on an RBI single by Anthony Kurek.

Indiana Chiefs stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the sixth, scoring three runs on an RBI double by Pat and a groundout by Vincent Miranda.

Indiana Chiefs 15u – 1 vs. Chicago Hitman 17u – 5

Trevor O’Donnell did his best to change the outcome, but Trevor couldn’t will Indiana Chiefs past Chicago Hit men as Indiana Chiefs lost 5-1 in seven innings at Riverside on Friday.

Trevor pitched lights out for Indiana Chiefs. Chicago Hit men managed just two hits off of O’Donnell, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Vincent Miranda took the loss for Indiana Chiefs. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed five runs.

The game was never in doubt after the first, as Chicago Hit men scored two runs on a two-run double by PlayerE.

Chicago Hit men added two more runs in the top of the fourth. A sacrifice fly scored PlayerI for the inning’s first run. That was followed up by PlayerC’s double, scoring PlayerA.

The fourth inning saw Indiana Chiefs score its only run on the day on an RBI double by Ryan Missal.
