25th ANNUAL INDIANA CHIEFS OF HAMMOND 

WINTER BASEBALL CAMP 

For Players Ages 10-12 & 13-15 

Dear Baseball Player & Parent,

The Indiana Chiefs of Hammond Baseball Club would like to invite you to our 25th annual

Winter Baseball Camp. This years camp will again be held at the Bishop Noll Institute Field House on Sunday, February 15th. The camp will be for players league age 10-12 and 13-15, as of May 1st, 2015. The camp will be a one day event.

Players will be grouped into two age divisions for the camp (10-12 & 13-15) and will work in these age groups during the camp. The schedule below will be used for the camp.

8:30 a.m. – 8:55 a.m. Camp Check In & Open Registration (Enter Door H Chicago Ave.) 

9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon Defensive Drills, Skills, & Individual Position Play 

All players will participate in group defensive drills and situations along with individual position work. Pitchers, catchers, infielders and outfielders will have an opportunity to receive instruction and participate in drills at their individual positions.

12:00 noon – 12:55 Lunch Break (lunch will be provided for all players)

1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Hitting & Offensive Areas of the Game 

All players will focus on offensive areas of the game. Hitting, bunting, and base running will be taught. All players will participate in various hitting drills and individual and group instruction will be provided.

As always our camp will be a player participation camp. All players will participate in actual drill and skill work. Players will participate as instruction is being presented.

All players attending will receive a 2015 camp T-Shirt. (must pre-registered by Feb. 13)

Instruction will be provide by our current Chief baseball coaches and instructors. In addition our cur-rent Chief 16U players will also be demonstrating and assisting with the camp.

The registration fee for the camp is $50 for one player and $40 for any additional player from the same family. All players must pre-register by February 13. Parents may attend the camp to watch.

THE CAMP IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 50 PLAYERS WHO ENROLL

Players can reserve a spot in the camp by registering on-line. Go to hammondchiefs.com. Click on “Kids Camp” at the top right of the home page and registration information will appear. Players can also register by calling in, mailing, or emailing the information listed below. The deadline for pre-registration is on or by Friday, Feb. 13th. Players will be accepted as they call or as their registration is received up to the first 50 players. Players must register on or by Feb. 13th to receive a camp T-shirt. Any players registering after Feb. 13th can register but will not receive a

T-shirt. All players must be registered before the camp start date of February 15th. There will be no registrations accepted the day of the camp.

3) T-shirt size (specify adult or child size S, M, L, XL, XXL) 4) League Age (players age as of May 1, 2015) 

The camp will start at 9:00 a.m. February 15th. Players will be able to check-in starting at 8:30 a.m. Please be prompt! 

The camp will be conducted at the Bishop Noll Institute Field House located at 1519 Hoffman St., Hammond, Indiana. The field house is located on the south side of Chicago St. just east of Columbia Ave. Enter through door H of the field house off Chicago St.

All players should wear gym shoes, bring their glove, and wear appropriate practice attire. Catchers should bring their own gear and players can bring their own bats. There will be limited catchers gear and bats available for use at the camp.

The camp will be conducted under all IHSAA rules and regulations regarding camps and clinics for high school players.

The official starting date for high school baseball practice is March 16th.

We hope that you will plan to attend the camp. For high school players this camp will be an excellent start to the high school season. For non-high school players you will be getting an early start on your spring league or travel team season.
