Hammond Chiefs Falls to Host Midland Redskins in Cincinnati
In game 2 the Chiefs lost 3-2 to the host and defending AABC Connie Mack national champion Midland Redskins. The Chiefs jumped ahead 1-0 in the first on an RBI single by Aveeno Nasiloski scoring Kevin Mullaney. Midland scored 2 runs in the 3rd to take a 2-1 lead and added an insurance run in the 6th to go ahead 3-1, which they carried into the 7th. The Chiefs rallied in the 7th for one run as Nasilowski singled in Kevin Mullaney to make the score 3-2. The game ended as Micha Rooke was out at the plate on fielders choice by Tariq Suboh. Kevin Mullaney was the tough luck loosing pitcher. He went 6 innings in his summer debut allowing 2 earned run while striking out 1 and walking 2. Aveeno Nasiloski was 3 for 3 with an RBI.
