Chiefs 14U Battle to NIML June Blowout Championship Title

The bats were busy at South Suburban College on Sunday, and when the dust cleared Indiana Chiefs 14U had a 13-11 win over the All Area Giants in five innings.

The teams combined for 18 hits, including three extra base hits.

Noah Davis racked up three RBIs on one hit for Indiana Chiefs 14U. He doubled in the first inning.

Mike Popp got the win for Indiana Chiefs 14U. He allowed two runs over 1 1/3 innings. Popp struck out none, walked two and gave up three hits.

GAME #2

Jason Lamont was untouchable on Sunday, throwing a no-hitter in Indiana Chiefs 14U’s 10-0 victory over Schaumburg Seminoles.

No Schaumburg Seminoles batter was able to locate Lamont’s pitches during the game. Lamont threw a no-hitter, striking out five batters and walking three while recording his momentous feat. He got Hauch to strike out for the final out of the game.

Seven runs in the opening three innings allowed Indiana Chiefs 14U to easily put away Schaumburg Seminoles. A single by Lamont, an RBI single byNoah Davis, a single by Will Kulcher, and an RBI single by Alex Dobrzenieckiin the first inning fueled Indiana Chiefs 14U’s offense early.

Davis racked up two RBIs on two hits for Indiana Chiefs 14U.

Indiana Chiefs 14U tacked on another two runs in the third. Kulcher’s single got things going, bringing home Lamont.

Indiana Chiefs 14U increased its lead with three runs in the fourth. The inning got off to a hot start when Mike Madura singled, plating Chris Manyek.

GAME #1

Evan Hylek went 1-2, sparking Indiana Chiefs 14U to a 3-1 victory in seven innings over Oak Forest Blue Deamons on Sunday at South Suburban College.

He singled in the sixth inning.

Mike Madura picked up the win for Indiana Chiefs 14U. Madura allowed no earned runs, three hits and no walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Indiana Chiefs 14U jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Indiana Chiefs 14U’s rally started when Nick Bandura singled.

In the second inning, Oak Forest Blue Deamons pushed across its only run of the day on an error.

Indiana Chiefs 14U went up for good in the fifth, scoring one run on a steal of home by Jason Lamont.
