Indiana Chiefs makes the most of 4 hits in 4-2 victory over St. Louis Gamers

Indiana Chiefs and St. Louis Gamers both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was Indiana Chiefs that was able to capitalize on them as it pulled out a 4-2 win.

St. Louis Gamers got six hits compared with just four for Indiana Chiefs, but St. Louis Gamers stranded six on base.

The fact that Indiana Chiefs grouped all of its runs into the fourth inning helped it take advantage of its hits.

St. Louis Gamers couldn’t get anything going as long as Steven Washilewskiwas on the hill. St. Louis Gamers managed just one hit off of the Indiana Chiefs’ pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his three innings of work.

Justin Ruthrauff was strong at the plate and on the rubber in carrying Indiana Chiefs to a 11-3 victory over AWP Sports Club on Sunday.

Justin Ruthrauff went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for Indiana Chiefs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Justin Ruthrauff shut down AWP Sports Club while he was on the hill. AWP Sports Club managed just two hits off of the Indiana Chiefs’ pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Indiana Chiefs blew out AWP Sports Club thanks to 12 hits, including two extra base hits. Indiana Chiefs piled on two more runs in the bottom of the fourth. Justin Ruthrauff’s single got things going.

Chiefs – 4 vs. Indiana Nitro – 2

Drew Minnich had two extra base hits as Indiana Chiefs took home a 4-2 victory over Indiana Nitro in seven innings at Indianapolis on Sunday.

He doubled in the second inning and tripled in the fifth inning.

Seth Tucker kept contact to a minimum, striking out 12 Indiana Nitro batters. Tucker allowed two earned runs, three hits and three walks over seven innings.

Indiana Chiefs was sparked by Evan Hylek and Minnich, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.

The bottom of the second saw Indiana Chiefs take an early lead, 2-0. A double by Minnich, bringing home Pat Manyek started the inning off. The scoreboard lit up again for Indiana Chiefs when Minnich scored on an RBI single by Will Kulcher.

The lead stayed with Indiana Chiefs after the fifth, when it scored two runs on an RBI triple by Hylek.

Chiefs – 9 vs. St. Louis Gamers – 1

Indiana Chiefs took down St. Louis Gamers 9-1 on Saturday at Indianapolis after slamming St. Louis Gamers with six runs in the third inning.

Indiana Chiefs scored in the third on a single by Justin Ruthrauff, a wild pitch, an RBI single by Vincent Miranda, an RBI single by Seth Tucker, a steal of home by Miranda, and an RBI single by Ryan Missal.

Will Kulcher went a perfect 1-1 at the plate for Indiana Chiefs. He singled in the third inning.

Steven Washilewski racked up eight strikeouts in the Indiana Chiefs win. Washilewski allowed no earned runs, two hits and two walks over six innings.

Indiana Chiefs increased its lead with two runs in the fourth. The inning looked promising, as Evan Hylek singled, scoring Kulcher to kick things off.

The Hamilton Ontario Cardinals didn’t have a chance on Saturday, as Indiana Chiefs won in blowout fashion, 11-2 in six innings at Indianapolis.

Vincent Miranda was a workhorse on the rubber while bagging the win for Indiana Chiefs. Miranda allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out four over six innings of work.

The game’s last lead went to Indiana Chiefs thanks to a third inning rally that saw four runs cross the plate on a two-run double by Missal and a two-run single by Anthony Kurek.

Indiana Chiefs blew out Indiana Pony Express 10-2 on Thursday at Indianapolis after pouring on six runs in the sixth inning.

Indiana Chiefs scored in the sixth on a wild pitch, an RBI single by Seth Tucker, a passed ball, an error, and an RBI single by Justin Ruthrauff.

Justin Ruthrauff racked up three RBIs on two hits for Indiana Chiefs.

Mike Madura got the win for Indiana Chiefs. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered six hits.

Trevor O’Donnell did his best to change the outcome, but O’Donnell couldn’t pilot Indiana Chiefs past the Indiana Raiders as Indiana Chiefs lost 6-1 in seven innings at Indianapolis on Thursday.

O’Donnell had an impressive outing against the Indiana Raiders’ lineup. The Indiana Raiders managed just two hits off of O’Donnell, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Scalbo recorded the win for the Indiana Raiders. He allowed one run over seven innings. Scalbo struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.

Anthony Kurek took the loss for Indiana Chiefs. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.

The Indiana Raiders stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third, scoring three runs on two sacrifice flys and an RBI single by Hale.

In the third inning, Indiana Chiefs pushed across its only run of the day on an RBI single by Evan Hylek.

The Indiana Raiders piled on three more runs in the top of the fourth. Scalbo’s double got things going, bringing home McGowan. That was followed up by Weaver’s single, scoring Scalbo.
