Indiana Chiefs Lose a Member of Their Baseball Family
The Indiana Chiefs of Hammond lost a member of their baseball family this past weekend. Mike Kozlowski, who played for the Chiefs program from 2007-2009, tragically passed away during an ATV accident near his home in Tennessee. Mike was a pitcher / 3rd baseman on the Chiefs 2009 team that finished 2nd in the nation at the Babe Ruth 16-18 Year Old World Series held in Moses Lake Washington.
Mike will always be remembered as a player for his mental toughness and his ability to do so many positive things while playing the game of baseball. He was a dominant player and a fierce competitor.
Mike will be remembered even more for the type of person that he was both on and off the baseball field. He let his positive actions speak for themselves. Mike was a leader who led by example. His positive actions always spoke louder than any words.
The Chiefs baseball family is deeply saddened by the loss of Mike. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mike and the entire Kozlowski family.
“Once a Chief, always a Chief!”
