Seminoles Fall to Hammond Hurricanes Black Squad
The Hammond Seminoles (7-8) dropped their third game in a row, this time to the Hammond Hurricanes (13-2) at Hessville Park by a score of 8-6. Tony Curatolo (Chicago State) had 2 doubles and 3 RBI, Chris McCormack (Morton) was 2 for 2 and Phil Madvek (Hobart ’12) had 2 hits and 2 RBI for the Hurricanes. For the Seminoles, Brandon Roeske (Chesterton) had 2 RBI and 2 runs scored, Austin Vander Zanden (Chesterton) had 2 hits, Rob Long (Andrean) had 2 RBI and Matt Dvorscak (Whiting) added a double. The lone pitching highlight for the Noles was Larry Crisler’s (Bishop Noll) 1 scoreless inning of relief with 1 strikeout. Jake Ehrlich (Hobart ’12) started for the Hurricanes and Garrett Litke (Griffith ’12) recorded the save.
