Chiefs 14U Captures NIML Super Elite Championship
Justin Ruthrauff went 3-3 at the plate, helping Indiana Chiefs 14U to a 9-4 victory over the Midwest Rangers on Wednesday at Ho Chunk.
He singled in the second, fourth, and seventh innings.
The Midwest Rangers couldn’t get anything going so long as Alex Dobrzeniecki was on the hill. Alex held the Midwest Rangers hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.
The lead stayed with Indiana Chiefs 14U after the first, when it scored three runs on a two-run single by Mike Popp and a walk by Ben Ostrowski.
The Midwest Rangers matched their two-run first inning with two more in the sixth. In the first, the Midwest Rangers scored on an error, scoring Jamari.
Indiana Chiefs 14U added five more runs in the top of the seventh. Evan Hylek kicked things off with a single, plating Alex.
